Diets and hair loss
Probably most of us have tried a diet at some point in their lives.
We all wish to lose a few pounds, be skinnier and more fit.
But many times, we tend to over do it and try unregulated, "fast results" diets, and therefore causing a lack of vital nutrient to our body. This shortage of nutrients can lead to a variety of problems, both health related and aesthetic.
For our body to function properly, it must receive nutrients from all main food groups- carbs, proteins, fats, minerals, and vitamins.
When we are on a diet (especially an extreme one), the amount of nutrients that enter our body decreases.
Our body reacts to this sudden change and enters a survival mode.
Therefore, it channels the nutrients to the most important organs first, leaving less vital organs behind- including our hair.
Although our hair means a lot to us, and some would prefer giving up other organs for it, if we won`t make sure our body gets what it needs, the outcome will be clear.
We will experience extreme hair loss, lose our natural shine and most likely also experience dry hair.
And it is not just our hair, our skin will be damaged and dry, our nails will become weak and may even split.
Therefore, if you have decided to go on a diet, make sure you do it in a healthy regulated way, which includes all of your body`s necessities.
This way you can feel good, look good and still receive everything your body needs without causing it any damage.
